The Organization
Foothills Forest Products Inc., based in Grande Cache, Alberta, is a forest products manufacturer of dimensional lumber for the North American housing and construction markets. Foothills Forest Products Inc. is part of the C&C Resources Group of companies, comprising of logging, silviculture, manufacturing, and transportation companies employing a combined 350 direct employees.
The Position
We are currently seeking a Mill Manager for our plant operations. The Mill Manager, reporting to the Area Manager, is accountable for the day-to-day operational and maintenance activities of the plant while delivering on budget objectives as set out by the Executive.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Direct experience with lumber manufacturing and project management will be major assets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is essential.
- Preferred applicants will possess proven leadership success in a manufacturing environment, and demonstrate superior communication skills at all levels in the organization.
- With plant safety as your first priority, you are a leader that drives for results using KPI’s (key performance indicators) to pull the organization forward.
- You must be self-driven with a positive attitude, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Grande Cache, Alberta is a thriving community with a population of approximately 5,000. Situated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and just over an hour away from Jasper National Park, the region provides for amazing scenery and recreational activities year round.
