Our client, a leading forestry player operating in various locations throughout North America, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor / Planner with proven track record in the Forestry industry. The perfect candidate will have superb management skills to efficiently handle all aspects of mechanical maintenance of its facility. This position will be based in their world class facility in Prince George.

Job Description:

• Supervision of multi-trade crews for all regular maintenance, project-based work and troubleshooting
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of maintenance activities while promoting safety, production and cost efficiencies
• Standardize and implement work quality standards throughout the facility
• Assist in the organization's yearly planning
• Maintain safety standards and conduct relevant training within the plant site

The company will expect from you:

• 5+ years relevant experience as a Supervisor or Planner in mechanical trades
• Education in a technical degree or equivalent trade qualification
• Proven leadership in employee management and team building
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong commitment to upholding safety

Compensation

In return you can expect:

$90-100,000, depending on experience plus pension and benefits
