Responsibilities:

Lead the design of complicated industrial process piping and mechanical systems.

Oversee a group of mechanical engineers, EITs, and piping designers.

As the mechanical lead on large projects, you will complete projects independently, supervising and coordinating the activity of other engineers and project team members.

Continually foster and grow strong relationships with our clients.

Using your considerable organizational, communication and people skills, you will lead and work with cross-discipline teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets and to high quality standards.

Mentorship of new and junior employees is also a key part of this role and our organization.

Qualifications:
|

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 12 years industrial experience with mechanical systems and process piping, with experience on major capital projects, preferably in a consulting environment

Experience with conceptual design, front-end and detailed engineering of process plants including the development of PFDs, P&IDs, controls, logic, safety systems, etc

Strong working knowledge of pump and piping system design, pipe stress analysis (Caesar II), heat transfer, HVAC systems, API 650/620 tank design, ASME pressure vessels design, general equipment specifications, construction scope of work documents, and technical bid evaluations is required

Experience with the design of Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, and/or Chemical facilities would be an asset

Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment

Technical competence and strong attention to detail

Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PEng.) in the province of British Columbia
