Quesnel Plywood, a Division of West Fraser, has an immediate opening for a:
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
As a member of our management team, the Maintenance Supervisor will be reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent. The successful candidate will be required to supervise a high performing maintenance crew for the purposes of providing safe and efficient services to the plywood plant.
Primary functions and duties include:
- Achieving plant wide performance and availability targets
- Ensuring that equipment is operated safely and efficiently
- Be an integral member of plant wide maintenance planning
- Supervise a maintenance crew.
Our ideal Maintenance Supervisor candidate will possess:
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in a Forest Products environment
- A track record of successfully supervising a maintenance crew
- Committed to working safely and creating a safe work place
- Previous success in increasing productivity, controlling costs and improving mill performance
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- A Trade Qualification Certificate, or, equivalent experience
- Various shift schedules will be required
