Our client is a leading global supplier, with one of the most diverse lines of lumber products in the world. The Company has operations in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon, including two sawmills in the Coastal region of British Columbia, three in the B.C. Interior, two in Washington and two in Oregon.

Our client is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for its Coastal Manufacturing Division (located in the Lower Mainland), reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the mill equipment and the supervision of the maintenance crew while providing professional service and ensuring a safe working environment.

Maple Ridge is part of Lower Mainland, BC and sits on the north shore of the Fraser River, only 45 km east of the City of Vancouver! Maple Ridge is next to the Coast Mountains which provides several opportunities for adventure and outdoor enthusiasts. With its beautiful countryside and spectacular scenery, Maple Ridge is a community that has a small-town atmosphere with an affordable cost of living but is in close proximity to a major city.

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Industrial setting
    • Familiar with Work Safe BC regulations would be an asset
  • Education:
    • Grade 12 / preferably some post-secondary education
    • TQ / IP certification
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills are preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive/energetic team environment
    • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Demonstrates and promotes a safe working environment
    • Sets and communicates direction
    • Follows-up with employees (with the goal to improve the quality and quantity of work performed)
    • Monitors machine centre performance – Mechanical / Electrical
