Background: Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer in the industry serving the furniture, cabinet, and molding and millwork segments worldwide. We are a growing company with manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. We have an immediate opening as our Lumber Inspector on 1st shift, at our Dorchester, WI site.
Key responsibilities and requirements:
Primary duties and responsibilities include consistent and accurate grading of surfaced and green lumber in a high production manufacturing operation. The successful candidate must be NHLA certified or equivalent experience, have the flexibility and ability to work in a team oriented, fast paced work environment with primary focus on personal and team safety behaviors. Good work history and safety record with a strong desire to learn are required. Job offer is contingent on successful background check and drug screen.
Requirements:
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- NHLA certification preferred or equivalent experience
- Exhibit high level of flexibility.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Excellent communication skills
- Team Player and Self-Starter
