This fast growing organization is focused on the trading of forest products internationally and has been in business for over 40 years. With an outstanding reputation for accountability and integrity this company is one of the leading Canadian wholesalers of lumber.

Position Description: 
Due to the growth of the organization the company is in need of a European Lumber Buyer / Trader. This person will be helping the President of the company in developing markets in the areas of Scandinavia, Austria, Germany and Romania. The focus of this role will be developing new trading relationships with mills in Europe to find the company new sources of forest products. Additionally this role will work very closely with the logistics group to oversee the delivery of these products

Requirements and Qualifications: 
To be eligible for this role you must have:
• 3 years’ experience in buying and trading lumber
• 2 years’ experience with lumber sourcing in Europe
• Experience coordinating purchase and delivery with sawmills, transportation services and other traders

Compensation

Pay for this role will depend on the level of experience and involves base salary plus commission and after a period of time will switch to 100% commission. Junior level traders should expect a base salary of 40-45k plus commission, med level will be at 60-67k plus commission and senior level traders will be at a base of 100k plus commission. After 2-3 years expected earnings in this role will be between 100-150K+
