Job Description:
Advantage Timberland will be hiring a full time permanent Log Utilization Forester.
Primary responsibilities will include all aspects of log yard management to include: scaling, grading, marketing, inventory management and operating equipment.
Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: working in the field with contractors to ensure proper merchandising of forest products, evaluation of standing timber, timber cruising and occasionally assisting field staff on harvesting operations.
The area of responsibility will be southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia, and at our Log Yard located in Bluefield, WV.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a degree in Forest Technology, Wood Science, or Forestry/Resource Management.
No experience is necessary as we will provide on job training.
