Westar Services is a trucking and forestry company that specializes in forestry, transportation of green energy, aggregate processing and earthwork.
We are looking for 2 experienced Log Truck Driver's to join our team from mid November to early April.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
-Oversee the loading and unloading, and strap/unstrap logs to
allow for safe transport
-Assist loader operator to assure proper weights are achieved
-Maintain accurate records and logs
-Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance before, during, and after trips; responsible for tire chain-ups and minor repairs as needed while on the road
-Maintain truck interior cleanliness and perform a complete sweep through before switching with cross-shift
-Problem solving when dealing with unexpected situations such as road closures, breakdowns, etc.
-Understanding and location of permits, licenses and registrations
-Must wear proper PPE.

Must have a valid Class 1A drivers license and provide a current Driver's Abstract.
