Ivy Green Log Scaling Ltd (IGLS) is currently recruiting for a Log Scaler on a busy second growth Dryland sort in Ladysmith, B.C. (in town).
Position Requirements and Competencies:
- Coastal B.C. Metric Scaling Licence
- Capable of accurately inputting metric log detail into hand held units in a production environment on a busy coastal DLS.
- Be able to be authorized by the Ministry of Forest regional scaling supervisor to measure and record log scale data and detail.
- Ability to work as a team, sometimes with minimal supervision
- IGLS is willing to consider a log scaler who is not currently working in the field but who has a had BC Scaling licence and would like to re-enter into the dls operation ; or a working forestry person desiring to write and challenge the coastal log scaling exam in spring 2014.
