TSAY KEH DENE:

The Tsay Keh Dene First Nation is located in the Rocky Mountain Trench, approximately 575 km north of Prince George, BC.  The Tsay Keh Dene Nation’s Territory is comprised of 862.2 hectares bordered by the Williston Reservoir, the Finlay Forest Service Road and the Finlay River. The band membership of Tsay Keh Dene is approximately 400 and the administration is based out of two band offices located in Prince George and Tsay Keh Dene.

Tsay Keh Dene Nation is looking for a motivated, organized and efficient Administrative Assistant who would like to join our team for a rewarding experience in our Land and Resources Department.

JOB SUMMARY:

Working out of the Prince George office with some travel to Tsay Keh Dene, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties to support the operations of the Land and Resources Department. He/she will perform administrative tasks and work in collaboration with the department staff team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department.  Other related duties may be assigned.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in office administration preferred.
• 2 years of direct work experience in an administrative assistant capacity.
• Strong knowledge of general office procedures involving procurement, travel arrangements, scheduling, budgets, reports etc.
• Able to write and format moderately complex correspondence, including emails, memos, letters, etc.
• Hands-on experience with productivity applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail clients, and presentation software.
• Valid BC Driver’s license and acceptable BC Driver’s Abstract record.
