Lone Rock Timber Management Company, headquartered in Roseburg, Oregon, is a family owned and operated company managing 130,000 acres in Western Oregon.  We are a fully integrated forest management company involved in a wide spectrum of activities including reforestation, silviculture, logging, inventory, surveying, cruising, appraisal, log sales, and road construction.  

Lone Rock Timber is a progressive, cutting-edge tree growing company with skilled and motivated high-quality personnel.  We are seeking a talented and highly-motivated individual for an opening as our Inventory Forester.  The successful candidate will be expected to begin work in June 2015 with the possibility of an earlier start date depending upon the date of graduation. 

Primary responsibilities for this career opportunity include conducting field inventory work and data analysis. This job is physically and mentally demanding requiring attention to detail while working on often difficult terrain in a wide range of adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the position requires analytic and organizational skills. 

Candidates need to have a minimum B.S. in Forest Management or similar field with at least 1 year of relevant field experience.  Candidates need to be well-organized, excel at working alone, proficient with data management software, and most importantly be inspired to perform high quality work that serves as the starting point for intensive forest management.  GIS experience is preferred but not required.
