They are in search of a talented Instrumentation and Controls manager who is self-motivated to focus on troubleshooting and improving PLC controlled equipment to ensure an integrated design with our scanning and optimization equipment.
Job Description:
The incumbent will resolve outstanding issues at our sawmill operations, manage sawmill equipment efficiency projects including troubleshooting complex technical issues, and coordinate with internal and external project leaders to ensure project success. As an expert technical resource on complex matters the incumbent will mentor and train operations staff.
Qualifications:
Forward thinking, flexible and resourceful, you apply your technical insight, your hands-on experience with process control systems and variable frequency drives, your mechanical aptitude and understanding of complex sawmill machinery and processes to develop novel solutions.
You are familiar with hydraulic motion and networking

- You have advanced skills in two or more programming languages: PLC (Allen-Bradley, GE90), HMI (RSView, Wonderware), C, C++, VBA.
- You are a self –starter and your personal attributes include well developed interpersonal and communication skills, a creative yet pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to work in teams.
Requirements:
• Regular travel to the clients wood manufacturing facilities within BC.
