Founded in 1994, All-Wood Fibre Ltd. is a progressive, industry leading fibre services provider. This includes fibre procurement and processing into chips and hog fuel, and transportation services.
We are currently looking to add a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to our team.
This position is based out of Prince George, BC and reports to the Operations Manager. We are looking for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication, technical, organizational and planning abilities. Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification an asset
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Repair, Overhaul, Maintenance, Service, Recondition
Type of Equipment Repair: Forestry and logging equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Job Skills:
Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions,
Determine extent of repair required,
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts,
Test repaired equipment for proper performance,
Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work,
Service attachments and working tools
Additional Skills:
Order parts and maintain inventory,
Keep maintenance reports and documentation,
Welding experience
Security and Safety:
Driving record check (abstract),
Driver's validity license check
Own Tools/Equipment: PPE
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail

Compensation
