Job Description:
Due to an internal staff promotion we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Northland team. The role involves coordination/ management of harvesting crews & the associated road construction/ maintenance for those operations, plus harvest planning work for external Clients.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and keen to work within a team (Staff and Contractors). The key skills required of this role are contract management, negotiation, technical forestry & forest engineering, competency with ARCGIS, and an ability to work with and relate to a range of people.
If you have three plus years of harvesting & roading management experience, contract negotiation skills, and are capable of professional level harvest planning for cable operations we’d love to hear from you. Tertiary qualifications are desirable. If you do not possess all of the above experience and/ or skills but are working towards this type of role as a career path, we would still like to hear from you. Our business holds ACC ASMP accreditation and we expect you to work safely, and lead safety with our Contractors by demonstrating consistency and integrity at all times.
