Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technologist

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic to join our Fort St. John team as a GIS Technologist.

This position is a three month contract which can be extended to a full time position for the right applicant.

Required Skills:

• College Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field with Three years prior experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Esri products; ArcGIS 10.0
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.

Other Desirable Skills:

• Fundamental knowledge and skill in the operation of GIS equipment, including computer hardware, plotter/printer setup and GPS units.
• Knowledge of other ESRI products; ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE
• Required knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Software; Excel and Access
• Visual Basic and relational databases; Oracle or SQL Server
