JOB TITLE: Full-Time Forestry Technician Position in Southeastern Indiana

JOB DESCRIPTION: Gregg Forest Services provides forest consulting services to private landowners in Harrison, Washington, Clark, Floyd, Jefferson, Orange, Crawford, and Perry counties. I am looking for a hard-working candidate who is interested in performing forest management for private landowners. Jobs include timber marking, timber stand improvement, invasive species removal, forest inventory, forest stewardship plans, marking boundary lines, plantation maintenance, and office work. This work will provide great experience for anyone interested in a job in forestry, natural resources, or wildlife management.

REQUIREMENTS: Must have taken Dendrology, Forest Mensuration, Forest Inventory, Forestry Summer Practicum, and Silviculture.

PREFERENCE*: It would also be beneficial if the candidate: 1.) Has a Pesticide License in Forest Applications 2.) Knows how to use a chainsaw 3.) Has some forest work experience *Important to note that these qualifications are preferred, not required. 

Compensation

Pay Rate: Pay will be between $28,000-$36,000, this will depend on experience, pesticide license, and qualifications.

Health insurance and Simple IRA begin after
three months.

A work vehicle may be provided in 3-6 months.
