We are seeking a high energy, motivated individual with a can-do attitude to join our dynamic Woodlands Team. Our company structure enables an individual to play a role through the entire fibre supply process from timber development to log delivery; providing the benefit of seeing the linkage of wood supply to a specialty mill.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of a woodlands organization. The Forestry Supervisor will contribute through assigned roles and responsibilities reporting to the Forestry Manager.

This position places an emphasis on gaining a wide range of practical experience in many forestry skills. You will enjoy a balance of field and office work

Duties include:

• Timber reconnaissance and development
• Operational planning
• Surveying/Traversing
• Assist in preparation of appraisal data, cruise plans, road permit application
• Site Plan and Harvest Plan writing
• Support harvest and road construction activities
• Contract administration and supervision
• Support silviculture activities

The Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Be registered with the ABCFP as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) Designation or enrolled to become registered.
• 2-5 years related forestry experience
• Background in road and cut block layout, planning and cutting permit development
• A passion for the outdoors, working hard and eager to take on challenging projects
• A strong team player
• Basic knowledge of applicable forestry legislation and policies
