Forestry Supervisor – Planning

Use your forestry & project management experience to lead cutblock planning for our operations in Prince George, BC

Reporting to the Planning Coordinator and with a focus on meeting our safety, sustainability and production objectives, you will lead all cutblock planning activities as a full-time member of Canfor's Forest Management Group. This will include:

  • conducting field and office activities including block design and reconnaissance
  • helping manage Canfor's Sustainable Forest Management Plan and Forest Operations Schedule
  • ensuring compliance with operational plans, company policy and legal requirements
  • working and forming positive relationships with internal/external customers, team members, First Nations, government agencies, the public and other stakeholders
  • achieving key performance measures
  • preparing budgets and managing costs
  • participating in continuous improvement initiatives and other team projects.

You’re an excellent leader and communicator who thrives in a team environment and has strong project management skills and a good knowledge of associated BC legislation and policies—all of which supports your relevant degree or technical diploma and over 5 years' forestry experience.
