Description
Major’s Logging Limited is actively recruiting a Forestry Shift Supervisor for a transmission line clearing project on the island of Newfoundland as part of the Maritime Link Project. The work is full-time, shift work and is located in Western and Central Newfoundland. This position is available immediately.
Duties include execution of the operational plan as designed by the Operations Manager while adhering to all safety, environmental and quality requirements of the project. Additional duties include: field ribboning, aiding with shift changes, participation in pre-work safety chats, fuelling of equipment, minor mechanical repairs and delivery of consumables to job site. This is a hands-on position with significant field work.
Previous job experience is required
The job is full-time.
Skills and Requirements

- Proven leadership abilities for jobsites of up to 25 people
- Focus on safety, the environment, quality and production
- Ability to work in diverse and demanding conditions
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Class 3 license preferred
Compensation
