A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced silvicultural or planning forester who has experience managing projects and working in a dynamic team environment. This job offers the chance to expand on your current experience and work closely with government and communities to develop effective resource development plans.
Being part of the senior operation management team the Forestry Operations Manager will have a broad range of responsibilities, but will focus primarily on delivering the silvicultural objectives of the business at site. Utilising historical data, the Forestry Operations Manager will plan and manage the various yield programs to ensure the maximisation of company assets. This role will also see the Forestry Operations Manager plan and deliver on the operational plans to ensure they are in line with silvicultural objectives and license obligations. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to provide real growth to the business and create long-term value in the local area.
To be suitable for this role, the successful candidate will be an experienced forestry professional with at least ten years in the industry. Preference will be given to those candidates with previous silvicultural experience who have managed seedling implementation programs and databases. This role will be based in town, with extensive travel to site, offering a fantastic work-life balance for the successful candidate.
