Forestry Field Supervisor - Forest Development (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

Commencing immediately, we require a Forestry Field Supervisor to assist in the leadership of our Forest Development department. This position will be based from the Prince George office but will require travel to various field locations for durations of time.

Description & Duties:

Duties of this position involve: block, road and riparian layout, timber reconnaissance surveys, timber cruising, aerial photo interpretation, GPS data collection, block reports, detailed block plans, editing of field collected GPS data. The position will involve both field and office based work in all aspects of forest resource management. 

Preferred Characteristics and Prerequisites:

·         Safety focused.

·         Minimum 3 years working in the area of operational forest development.

·         Experience in timber reconnaissance, road/ block layout, timber cruising and site plan preparation.

·         Demonstrated ability to both work independently and as part of a team.

·         Very strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Strong computer skills- Microsoft Office; GIS Programs.

·         RPF or RFT designation, or registered with the ABCFP would be an asset but not mandatory.

·         Possess a valid Driver’s License.
