Western Forest Products Inc. is currently seeking a temporary Forestry Clerk to join our Port McNeill Forest Operation. This full-time position will be required for approximately 15 months. The Role Reporting to the Operations Forester, the position will require the successful candidate to provide administrative and clerical support to the Forestry Department & Staff. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience in an office environment, including but not limited to: filing (electronic & paper), computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe, GIS and experience managing a database, preferably Cengea Forest. The successful candidate must have good interpersonal and organization skills as well as demonstrated multi-tasking abilities. Candidates must be able to work successfully both independently and in a team atmosphere with the ability to change and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. Attention to detail is key.
