We serve a full range of industrial, institutional and private landowners, consultants, and forest products corporations with an emphasis on professionalism, quality and accountability. As a forester with Acorn, you will be responsible for the quality, efficiency, and profitability of a wide range of silviculture and forest management activities. You will be expected to participate, supervise, and execute silviculture operations, including planning & logistics, supervision of field personnel, safety, and completion of project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Wildlife, Range Management or related field
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficiency to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.
- Basic GIS and GPS knowledge
- Adaptable to a wide range of forestry activities
- Ability to supervise field personnel & manage logistics
- Moderate overnight travel (30%) may be required
- Ability to obtain a valid Texas class C commercial drivers license
