Background: Potomac Supply LLC is a manufacturing facility producing pine lumber and pellets. Potomac Supply LLC is owned by Northwest Hardwoods. We are in search of a Forester to join our organization. Potomac is a modern integrated southern pine sawmill operation that encompasses three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities: sawmill, planer mill, and pellet manufacturing. Modern Technology and a drive for excellence have enabled Potomac Supply to become a recognized provider of quality wood products.
Key responsibilities include:
· Supporting our Procurement Team – Duties included but are not limited to…
o Assisting in maintaining a consistent and sustained flow of Southern Yellow Pine wood fiber to support 65 mmbf of sawmill production
o Timber Cruising
o Log Merchandising
o Contract Negotiations
o Timber Harvesting Coordination
· Miscellaneous requests – assist in all areas as needed
Requirements:
· Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- Forestry Degree – 4 years
- 1 – 5 years experience
- Excellent computer skills.
· Proactive in identifying issues, opportunities and needs of customers/employees.
· Excellent attendance record.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Team Player
