Specific Job Description
The forester position for this company will involve a wide array of duties. Successful candidates can expect to be roaming the woods some days, marking off territory, planning resource acquisition routes and indicated high value harvesting areas. Other days could be spent overhead surveying, in the office planning and mapping road routes. Reseeding, planting and environmental controlling- including wildlife and invasive plant species, will also be expected. The foresters will require a keen knowledge of government environmental policies, as they will be dealing with crown lands and environmental regulations very frequently.

Requirements
1. In depth knowledge forestry procedures 
2. Experience with planning forestry operational/harvesting activities
3. Knowledge of government regulations/legislation as related to forestry and the harvesting of timber
4. Valid Driver's license and ability to operate off road vehicles
5. MUST have worked in silviculture in BC

Compensation

Compensation and Benefits

These positions offer excellent pay for the required experience. Beginning in the $60,000 annual range, and increasing by candidate aptitude and experience up to $75,000 for a seasoned vet, they also include 2 weeks’ vacation to start, extended benefits, pension, phone and tuition reimbursement and RRSP Matching.
