Job Description
Position: Forester

Job Type/Term: Full time, Permanent
Education: High School diploma/GED minimum; Two year Associates/technical degree in Forestry preferred; higher education in Forestry or other natural resource discipline will be considered.
Experience: Work experience related to forest inventory, harvest unit layout, forest road design, harvest methods and silviculture are beneficial.
Hours: 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Flexible, generally 4 days per week, 10 hours per day with occasional overtime and weekend work as necessary
Travel: Overnight trips may be necessary several times per month
Job Summary
Forest Management Solutions is seeking a motivated individual to join our forestry consulting team. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of forest management practices and principles as they are applied in the Pacific Northwest.
Skills that will be built upon:
● Washington Forest Practice Rule comprehension and implementation
● Harvest unit layout, forest road design and engineering
● Timber inventory (cruising) and data analysis: SuperACE™
● Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office® (Word, Excel), ArcGIS®

Compensation
Compensation: Hourly, Dependant on Experience
