DWB Prince George and Chetwynd Operations has immediate openings for forest technologists and technicians.
Positions are considered full time and are primarily field based with a minor component of office related duties.
Camp work is expected with varying shift lengths dependent upon the location of the work.
The majority of work based out of Chetwynd is ‘town’ work.
Preference will be given to applicants that have a degree or diploma in Forestry and have experience in cutblock boundary layout, road layout and timber cruising.
Other assigned duties may include riparian assessments, site plan data collection, GPS traversing, Level 1-2 road survey, and other related forestry duties.
Assistance to our Engineering and Environmental Departments may also be required.
Registration with the Association of BC Forest Professionals is not mandatory however preference will be given to applicants that have their professional designation or are eligible for enrollment.
Future advancement into Program Management will be considered based on the applicants’ experience.
Applicants not meeting the above qualifications may be considered for junior technician positions.
