Salary $48,458.00 - $55,111.82 annually, plus a bi-weekly isolation allowance of $38.87
A rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced forest technologist in the amazing community of Mackenzie, BC.
The mission of BC Timber Sales (BCTS) is to develop and market Crown timber to establish the costs of development and the market price to capture the value of the asset for the public. The vision of the organization is to be an effective timber marketer generating wealth through sustainable resource management.
As the Forest Technologist, you will perform a variety of technical and operational duties to support the planning, engineering, layout, auction, harvest and reforestation activities. Your technical expertise related to forestry will assist you in everything from maintaining information systems and monitoring harvest activities. As part of a high-functioning, multidisciplinary field team, you will perform various activities required to develop timber sale licenses and support field team operations. An effective communicator, you work closely with clients and stakeholders, participate on a variety of working groups and prepare and present technical reports.
