JOB DESCRIPTION 

Based in our Edmonton office, the ability to travel for field work may be required. You will work on operations (which may include logging and hauling supervision), land use, timber scaling, and Right-of-Way mapping.

Specifically: timber cruising, preparing timber salvage
planning documents; Enhanced Approval Process (EAP) / Environmental Field Reports (EFR), Crown / AER applications, obtaining third party agreements, technical writing, report preparation, and GIS data creation, attributing and mapping, client liaison and other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of Alberta forestry field experience, (RPFT / RPF or eligible to obtain)
  • Alberta Forest Harvest and Operating Ground Rules and forest tenure knowledge
  • AB Timber Scaling Permit considered an asset
  • Demonstrated record of safe work habits
  • Proficient computer skills, (ESRI ArcGIS experience, MS Suite, GPS)
  • 1st Aid, H2S, defensive driving, WHMIS, TDG, ATV and Snowmobile rider safety considered an asset
  • Valid class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving record
