Field Forester (Forester)

Broadleaf Forestry Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Commonwealth Commercial Partners, LLC was established in 2016 to provide best in class forestry consulting services to landowners in the Southeast. The company is seeking qualified applicants for a fulltime position as a field forester/technician. The successful applicant will be working under the direction of an experienced Registered Forester. 
   

Primary duties: Timber cruising, boundary maintenance, timber sale preparation, mapping, timber harvest inspections, reforestation and site-preparation oversight, and other general forestry-related duties.

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-disciplined individual with strong work and business ethics. The successful applicant must have the ability to work independently and as a team member. He or she must be well adapted to working outdoors for extended periods in all environmental conditions and seasons, and cover long distances in varying terrain.

In addition, the ideal applicant will possess the following skills, education, and experience:

• 2-year or 4-year degree in forestry, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years experience in timber cruising
• Strong verbal communication and writing skills
• Experience with MS Word/Excel, cruise software, GPS, and GIS a plus.
