Fibre Optimization Manager (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

Located in stunning British Columbia, one of Canada’s leading forestry company’s currently requires a Fibre Optimization Manager to supervise and support their operations. This is a fantastic job that will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their career and join part of a strong management team.

 

As a senior member of the organisation the Fibre Optimization Manager will hold both planning and management responsibilities. These will include, but not be limited to management of mills, creation of continuous improvement models, monitoring and maintenance of production volumes, yield, quality (including lumber stacking) and uptime while maintaining a safe working environment, identify and recommend long term changes to production targets, products and flow and prepare and present production reports and analysis for production follow-up.

 

To be successful in this role, you will hold at least 10 years’ experience in management and continuous improvement roles. Ideally some of that experience would also be in the forestry sector. You will hold either a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or equivalent, or a Technical Diploma with a Six Sigma designation would be seen as highly beneficial. Above all else though, strong experience in continuous improvement is essential. The role would be based at the companies head office with regular travel required to site. Compensation

Negotiable - Dependant on experience
