Strategic Natural Resource Consultants Inc. is looking for an intelligent, enthusiastic, hard-working person with a passion for working outdoors to join our team of resource professionals and become involved in a variety of projects throughout Coastal BC.

Experienced Forester:

» Registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals as an RPF

» Experience working in BC’s Coastal Forestry industry for at least three years

» Passionate about physical work in adverse conditions and is flexible towards camp shifts

» Lives in Port McNeill or willing to relocate to the North Island

» Ability to demonstrate an understanding of silvicultural activities and solid forest land management

» A great written and verbal communicator

As a successful applicant, you will work closely with our junior staff to mentor and develop them in the following skills; 

» Knowledge of forest legislation for both private and crown land

» Navigation and map reading skills, GPS surveys and applications, and general computer skills

» Knowledge of coastal harvesting & silvicultural systems

» Preparation of site plans and stand management prescriptions

» Knowledge of silviculture surveys, practices and prescriptions

» Experience working around trucks, ATV’s, boats, float planes & helicopters
