Electronics Field Service Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES
Services, installs and upgrades various scanning systems for the wood processing industry at customer sites. Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of service calls and regular site visits to ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards. Responds to and communicates effectively with customers, engineers and project managers to ensure customer requirements are understood and resolved. Required to provide 7/24hr support coverage on rotation. Works irregular hours and overtime is required.
REQUIREMENTS
► Diploma, degree or trade qualification in the electronics field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
► Electronic troubleshooting skills
► Competent in Windows OS and TCPIP networking
► Hardware and software application knowledge
► Knowledge of the wood processing industry (preferred but not required)
► Machine vision and x-ray experience (preferred but not required)
► PLC knowledge and understanding (preferred but not required)
► Ability to work effectively with customers
► Able to cross international borders and travel extensively to mill locations in North America and overseas
