Our client, an international player in the forestry industry, is searching for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join their Kootenay operations. They have powered through the 'recession' and continue to be busy, building a lean and elite team and are now in need of some senior members. The ideal candidate would be an Electrical Maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting skills and frontline supervisory experience in a medium sized industrial unionized facility. Specifically your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, scheduling and assignment of all electrical maintenance activities
- Supervising and leading a team of electricians within a unionized environment
- Maintain standards of supply inventory
- Strictly adhere to Health and Safety protocols
Candidate Requirements
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to learn from one of the most knowledgeable leaders around and the independence to make decisions that are best for the operation. In addition to the electrical technical experience, other desirable attributes include:
- 5 or more years of supervisory experience in a pulp and paper manufacturing facility
- PEng (Electrical) designation and recognized electrical certification
- Strong project management and organizational skills
Compensation
Compensation $75,000-80,000 along with a very generous compensation and benefits package.
