Our client is a leading forestry company in located in Northern Alberta. They are looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join their maintenance team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure a safe work environment for the E/I department by enforcing safe work practices, investigating incidents and ensuring proper training and adherence to Electrical Codes and Instrumentation best practices,
• Work with Production, Mechanical, Technical and Purchasing departments to effectively maintain pulp mill equipment
• Manage, schedule and supervise a crew of 11
• Manage all electrical and control aspects of capital projects
• Coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Initiate E/I expense and capital budgets and overseeing all E/I maintenance costs
Education and Qualifications:
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the ideal candidate will possess:
• A Professional Electrical Engineer designation or,
• A journeyman Electrician certificate.
• Strong maintenance background knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing equipment.
• Communication & supervisory skills fitting toward modern supervision
• Team environment skills with all personnel
• Experience in maintenance and a demonstrated passion for electrical systems and controls
• Excellent innovation and problem solving skills
• Preference may be given to candidates with experience and qualifications in the forest industry
