Our Sonora/Chinese Camp Sawmill Divisions have an opening for a qualified Division Forester. The successful applicant will assist the Division Timber Manager to implement a raw material procurement program for the Sonora and Chinese Camp Sawmill Divisions.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Appraise and purchase logs and timber from private and public sources
• Timber Sale Contract Administration
• Conduct monthly physical inventory of the sawmill log deck
• Log quality control
• Timber cruising
• Compliance monitoring
QUALIFICATIONS
• AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or related field preferred
• 3 years of forestry related work experience that includes cruising, scaling, logging supervision or contract administration
• Ability to hike in mountainous terrain
• Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Good writing and communicating skills
• A reliable self-starter
• Safety conscience
• Individual who can work in support of the Company’s goals and objectives
• Have a valid driver’s license
