QUALIFICATIONS
• A California Registered Professional Forester, or the ability to qualify for and take the RPF exam within 3 years.
• Knowledge of THP preparation and writing.
• Familiarity with the California Forest Practice Rules.
• Ability to communicate and work with state regulatory agencies.
• Understanding of logging, road construction and reforestation operations.
• Ability to hike in extremely remote mountainous regions using maps, compass or GPS.
• Ability to work in all season outdoor environments, including inclement weather.
• Ability to effectively work and interact within a “team” setting.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and strong work ethic.
• Computer skills, or the ability to develop such skills; experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint) and GIS-based software programs helpful.
• Have or obtain a valid California driver’s license, and ability to drive hazardous mountain roads.
