Job Description:
Frost Valley YMCA is seeking an energetic, environmentally conscientious professional to lead the Natural Resources and Environmental Science department. The Natural Resource and Environmental Science Director is responsible for department administration, including budget management, supervision of staff and volunteers, GIS and GPS mapping projects, and maintaining excellent relationships with our partner organizations/agencies. This position is also responsible for overseeing our outdoor sporting membership program, forest management plan, and maple sugaring program.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, biology, fisheries and wildlife, zoology or a related field; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing; Excellent customer service skills; Ability to supervise staff, volunteers as well as multitask on project work; Possess a valid, clean, US driver’s license; Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and physical stamina over extended periods of time.
Salary:
Salary range is $40,000-$50,000 annually
