Interfor is currently recruiting for a Development Forester at our Grand Forks Woods Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business aspects of Standing Timber Inventory (STI) Development.
Major responsibilities:
- Work with consultants to develop Cutting Permits and STI.
- Responsible for quality control of field work.
- Prepare and sign-off site plans and logging plans.
- Manage associated safety and environmental performance.
- Manage cost control and operational efficiency improvements.
- Responsible for stumpage appraisal submissions.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Physically fit for regular field work
- Strong commitment to safety
Required Experience
- Previous experience in all aspects of cutting permit development
- RPF designation
- Experience with Cengea Resources is an asset
