Controls Field Service Technician (Technologists & Technicians)

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Services, installs and upgrades various control systems for the forest industry at customer sites.  Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of service calls and regular site visits to ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards.  Responds to and communicates effectively with customers, engineers and project managers to ensure customer requirements are understood and resolved.  Required to provide 24/7 pager coverage on rotation.  Works irregular hours and overtime as required.  Extensive travel is required; must be able to cross international borders

 

 REQUIREMENTS

►      Diploma, degree or trade qualification in the electronics field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 

►      Experience with programming Rockwell Software ControlLogix, RSLogix PLC products

►      Sawmill industry experience is a definite asset

►      Understand and work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) is an asset

►      Basic understanding of Hydraulic motion is an asset

►      Able to read drawings/prints related to circuits is an asset

►      Exceptional trouble shooting skills

►      A desire to learn
