Consulting Arborist (Arborist & Tree Care)

This position consists of performing written reports in all aspects of arboricultural consulting services in combination with office administration and quality control.

Consulting Arborist responsibilities include:

  • follow, abide and lead in all safety rules and policies of BC Plant Health Care;
  • participate in organizing the office to ensure efficiency, dependability, quality work, safe operations and profitability.


The ideal candidate must:

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent leadership skills
  • Have at least (3) years of arboriculture experience
  • Be an ISA Certified Arborist and Certified Tree Risk Assessor
  • Possess intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • Be able to coordinate, delegate, prioritize, multi-task, and assist all district consulting needs
  • Have knowledge and familiarity of competitors within local demographics, marketing campaigns and sales materials to meet sales goals with a strong emphasis in consulting, tree risk and management plans.
  • Be able to safely operate an Airspade and Resistograph.
  • Be able to safely ascend trees to perform aerial inspection as well as be able to perform all duties as a climbing arborist depending on workload schedules and specific seasons during the year.
  • Ability to work extended hours; including weekends if needed.
  • Be knowledgeable in all other aspects of arboriculture for continuous growth.

Compensation

Salary: $27-$31 per hour
