Job Description: 
Join the Forisk team in improving, maintaining and publishing Forisk research products related to forecasting timber prices, capital investments, forest operations and timberland ownership. Support clients in their use and application of Forisk research. In cooperation with the Senior Consultant, support market analysis for consulting studies; Conduct unique research to support the price forecasting models and market studies; Support and participate in client presentations and workshops; and contribute to and co-author Forisk research related to timber markets, economic trends, forecasting and/or forest operations.
Qualifications: 

The successful candidate will have:
  • One or more degrees in forestry, natural resources, or economics/finance; MS or higher degree preferred;
  • Direct experience with forestry or natural resource operations, research or markets;
  • At least 5 years of direct experience with economic or market analysis, forecasting, appraisal, or research, and the software skills required to conduct this analysis;
  • Direct experience with supporting clients and meeting client expectations. This may include the successful completion of research projects; and
  • Proven track record of success, based on work experience, achievements, references and/or research. Maintain an unwavering commitment to honest communication, integrity and ethical behavior;
  • Support the professional development of Forisk colleagues and clients;
  • Help celebrate the professional and personal successes of Forisk team members; and
  • Exhibit both a strong work ethic and sense of humor.
