Business Analyst - Forestry

Our growing client base utilizes our solutions to manage land assets and activities for Forestry, Agriculture, Environment & Land, amongst others. Our global clients rely on our solutions to support daily decisions.
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. You are a great listener with domain knowledge and adept at translating customer requirements into a solid set of specifications for software project implementation. You possess excellent listening skills, are highly responsive, and have a customer service orientation. You are a collaborative team member but able to work independently.
You have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Conducting requirements gathering workshops, documenting business requirements and processes, and distilling information into requirements and design documentation;
- Preparation of development specifications, review with internal and external stakeholders through the approval process;
- Interactions with customers, technical staff, and project managers through all phases of the implementation project;
- Validation of software development / configuration against design specifications ;
- Development of materials for, and training of, users and system administrators on the use software for specific business workflows.
These skills set you apart from your peers:
- Experience in the forestry industry;
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills to all levels within the organization;
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills;
- Experience with ERP, supply chain management, and land management systems;
- Advanced skills in process mapping, logical database design, and problem solving.
Ideally you should have at least five years of forestry or agriculture experience as well as a degree in forestry, agriculture, or computer science. You should also have a valid Canadian driver’s license. Some travel to customer sites is required for this position.
