Authorizations Technician
Salary $48,942.48 to $55,662.83 annually
Bring your natural resources operations experience to this exciting role. A rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced forest technologist in the community of Dawson Creek.
As the Authorizations Technician you will provide a range of technical evaluation and advisory services to support decisions on the use of natural resources, and the achievement of resource management objectives. You will be part of a multidisciplinary office/field team expected to complete a large volume of work in a professional manner. You will interact with a range of clients including major licensees, small tenure holders, land owners and general public. You will review all forms of permits and make approval recommendations to the Statutory Decision Maker. You will review stumpage appraisals that determine revenue collected by the Province of British Columbia.

Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position, but at a lower classification but will still be required to be registered, or eligible for registration as a Registered Forest Technologist with the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals.
