The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited has opportunities in the field of Urban Forestry, as tree care Trimmers & Groundmen. Davey is a leader in the Residential-Commercial tree care, utility line clearing and forestry consulting industries, throughout Canada and the US.
EMPLOYMENT LOCATION: Kelowna, BC
JOB DUTIES: Positions involve providing expert tree surgery services and inspections to customer properties. Groundmen work as apprentices assisting arborists, with Climbers/Trimmers as member of crew. Trimmers are responsible for climbing, pruning and removing trees on residential and commercial properties.
QUALIFICATIONS: Arborist or Forestry experience is valuable, but not required. ISA certification, CDL, climbing without spurs, knowledge of knots, chainsaw operation all very valuable. Ability to work independently and within team/crew setup. Must be punctual in daily reporting to work, able to work in all weather conditions, in good health and physically capable for all aspect of outdoor demanding work. Must provide current SIN card and Healthcare cards. Valid driver license valuable, but not required.
Compensation
Salary: $15.00 - $22.00/HourlyADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Compensation based on qualifications and experience -- hourly with consistent overtime pay.
