Urban Forester / Environmental Scientist (Environmental)

WSSI is seeking an entry to mid-level candidate familiar with performing forest stand or wetland delineations; reviewing construction plans for conflicts with critical root zone, preparing federal and state Clean Water Act permit applications and other technical studies related to aquatic resources; and coordinating with federal and state resource agencies regarding forestry, wetland or other natural resource issues. 

Strong knowledge of/experience in one or more of the following fields desired:  forestry, plant identification (including trees/shrubs), soil profiling, or landscape architecture. 

Preference will be given to candidates who possess ISA Certified Arborist and/or MD Licensed Tree Expert credentials. 

General natural history knowledge and an interest in working both indoors and outdoors is required. 

Experience working with a diverse client base in both the public and private sectors highly desirable, with a willingness to travel regionally.  BA/BS required.
