POSITION PURPOSE

The truck driver is responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex transportation duties, including driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of the Company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following is a list of general job responsibilities for the Truck Driver position.  This list is not all-inclusive and may be broadened or changed to meet changing business needs. 

  • Operate trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
  • Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials
  • Ability to maintain a truck log according to federal and state regulations
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Oregon State Driver’s License
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
  • Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.
  • Specific vision abilities required, include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must maintain punctual and regular attendance at all times.
  • Requires the use of standard safety equipment in regulation with Oregon Operations.
  • This position is a Physical and Mental Requirement Classification 8.
