Job Opportunity: Territory Account Manager (Campbell River - Forestry / Distribution)

LOCATION: Campbell River (Vancouver Island), BC

Our client is one of Canada’s largest distributors of industrial, safety, construction and fastener products. This is a truly impressive company with massive marketshare, an exceptional value proposition that dwarfs competitors, and an exceptional reputation.

They have engaged Sales Talent Agency to help them recruit for a Territory Account Manager (outside sales) in the Campbell River (and north to Port Hardy) area.

You will be assigned a select portfolio of major accounts and will be responsible for closely servicing those customers to ensure the accounts stay healthy and grow. You will be part of a high-performance sales team reporting into a very strong sales manager who is hands-on but also empowers you to succeed and run your own territory. Whilst this is a blended account management/new client acquisition role with an established $1.5M+ territory with a great deal of untapped potential still. Sales reps with a proactive 'hunting'/new client acquisition mentality definitely earn more in this role.

About you:

  • 3+ years of sales experience is required, outside sales is preferred, especially if you have managed an assigned territory
  • Experience in selling industrial  / building / tools type products is preferred.
  • Most importantly you must thrive in a very demanding and intense sales environment where your clients are always looking for your help and you have to multi-task with a high degree of customer service and accuracy.
  • Live in or near Campbell River, Vancouver Island

 

Compensation

This role offers a competitive base salary ($45-55k), a car allowance plus km reimbursement, a cell phone allowance, a matching pension plan AND a strong commission plan. Overall earning potential in the first year is around a realistic $80k per annum range, top performers on the team earn around $100-120k (usually year two onwards).
