Position Summary:
TDB Consultants Inc. has immediate openings for a full-time Surveyor in its Engineering Department for work in Prince George and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will report directly to a Senior Operations Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Surveying and Field Engineering
• Total station and RTK topographic site plan surveys
• Road traverse surveys, volumetric surveys, road and bridge stakeout
• Assist in the calculation, analysis and computation of field measurements
2. Design and Office Engineering
• Work with a team of technical staff to produce engineering designs and drawings
• Resource road development planning
• Stream crossing designs
• Complete forest hydrology calculations
3. Forestry/Geomatics Support
• Provide support for forestry crews with block and road development
• Assist with GIS mapping and data transfers
Minimum Qualifications
• Technical Diploma in Surveying or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a related field
• Survey experience pertaining to resource roads, bridges and other structures
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS software
• Team player who is focused on safety, quality, and production
• Physically fit and enjoy working in diverse and demanding conditions
• Able and willing to travel with a valid Class 5
